Ok I've got a scrapped trooper ,all the good stuff off it ,were can I get rid of the body and chassis ,in or around Dublin ?

I got rid of one to Thorntons in Dublin last year. You'll find them in the phone book.

They agreed a scrap price for the jeep over the phone which they paid when I dropped it in to them. I received a further cheque from them a week later - it must have weighed more than they expected. That kind of honesty makes me think well of them. They also issued a destruction certificate by post.

Make sure you have the log book or other proof of ownership.

How much did you get if i may ask ? I have a 04 pajero and was told 1500 for scarp, just wondering how the jeeps get so much more then a car, I know weight is a factor but is that it ?

That'll be 150 for scrap not 1500. Scrap is valued by weight so a heavier vehicle is worth more. If someone has offered you 1500 it's not for scrap and I'd jump at it if the alternative was to junk it.

Brought it to Hammond lane got a big check for around €100 , that was without an engine
