    Hi
I'm thinking of changing my 1.5 van to a 1.8 and was wondering if there will be a big change in fuel consumption, never had this size engine before so all advice appreciated. thanks.

How would any of is possibly know without knowing manufacture make of each as every model engine would have different consumption. But guessing its a Renault 1.5dci your going from to a 1.8 ford there would be a bit in it. But you need to tell us the model years to get an more accurate figure. Kangoo or megane for the Renault ? / focus or transit connect for the ford ?

It depends on the van itself.
    Weight, aerodynamics etc.

All things being equal, you shouldn't see a major difference.

There wouldn't be a whole lot between the two of them. I suppose they would both be doing 35-40mpg. The kangoo might be doing a bit more but you shouldn't see too much of a difference. Do you know what your getting out of the kangoo at the moment mpg wise ?

Thanks for that Bpmull, no I dont know what I'm getting at the moment, really I just wanted to know if there would be a big rise and I know there are a lot of factors at play. Once its not going to be a huge difference I'm happy so thanks again for your reply.
