Where to get a USB cable for Note2 that will charge at correct current

OK, this should be easy, but from experience, it's not.
Where to get a USB charger lead for a NOTE 2 that will work correctly?
By that, I mean charge at the appropriate rate for a NOTE2, which is somewhere approaching 2 Amps.

I've tried several in recent times that are just a waste of space, they work, but only allow perhaps 200 Ma, so charging from it won't work, in some cases, the charge rate will be slower than the phone is using the power.

I have a good USB charger for the vehicle, and with the "genuine" Samsung cable from the mains charger, it's fine, and charges correctly at the right current, but if I use a "generic" cable, they don't work, and don't work on the mains brick either, so it's the cables that are the issue. Ideally, I want a longer cable than the "standard" length so that I can use the phone in a cradle for GPS use in the vehicle.

Anyone any ideas what the reason for this is? Is it just simply that the wire used is such poor quality, they won't carry the current, or is there some sort of different connection issue with these cables?

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

I got two of these recently, they seem to be very good quality: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FAAGNLU/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I had a similar issue with my s3. Generic cables cause problems so it seems. Is there some electronics in the plug that generics dont have?

Yep, I'm after buying a car charger and USB lead to charge my note 3, same as op described. Phone uses power at a greater rate than the charger provides it.

    Right pain tbh
