Just broke the diet, had been doing sooooo well. Not just one thing I had major break out. Doughnut, Star bar, bag of Tayto and glass of wine. :(Shouldn't have gone to the shop but I did. Should I have the other Star bar and glass of wine or begin again.

    Motivate me AHers.

Drink some water and go to bed. Have a carb-light day tomorrow to make up for it.

Just have the wine. You haven't killed anyone. Go nuts and have the starbar too. Just tell yourself they're treats and get your arse back into gear tomorrow.

Or Monday. Or the next day. Or never.

Just make sure you leave it in the kitchen....you can work off the rest walking in and out for it then.....happy days :-D

Everybody needs a cheat meal/night. Enjoy the rest of the wine and Star bar and just get back to the diet tomorrow

One bad evening won't kill anyone. Most diets let you have a binge every once in a while anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,779 ✭✭✭✭siblers

Breaking your diet once isn't a big deal. You shouldn't have to deprive yourself of all tasty treats, everything in moderation and all that jazz.

Don't worry about it. You only live once. Enjoy what you ate/drank and don't beat yourself up over it.

Yeah a cheat day is essential to every successful diet tbh. Just keep it a day every two weeks or so. Or if you can limit yourself to one cheat meal in the same period even better.

Force yourself to apply liberal doses of ketchup to what you bought (wine included :pac:), and see how appetizing it still is.

Funnily enough I'd eat anything once it has ketchup on it. It was such a joke that when I was younger the only way I'd eat my vegetables was when I had ketchup on them! It was the same with mash potato :pac: Eating pizza isn't the same unless I have ketchup all over it.

To make up for your penance, tomorrow you must go to Croagh Patrick and climb up it barefoot.

    Today's just been ridiculous.

Allow yourself 1 major binge day per month. You get to eat and drink as much as you want, guilt free and you stick to the diet every other day of the month. That way you have something to really look forward to and you aren't breaking the rules. It helps because when you diet you crave the things that you can't have, so the 1 day a month binge takes the sting out of it.:)

OP eat whatever the hell you like but eat less of it, that's a guaranteed weight-loss diet!

One binge day a MONTH!? That would be too ambitious for me. :(
