Just wondering when renting abroad for a day/few days do they provide pedals and shoes?

Heading away for nearly 4 weeks in July and will be in some areas with lovely 'hills' which i'd love to use to keep the miles in the legs.

Only one experience but I specified the type of pedals, which they supplied and fitted, brought my own shoes.

I would bring my own pedals, shoes and saddle.

Good bike rental shops will fit specified pedals, I bring my own shoes and helmet. Where are you hoping to cycle, out of interest?

You'll rent a decent road bike if cycling is very popular in the area; popular ares of Alps/Pyreenes, Canaries etc. Not so easy in my experience to get them in other areas.
Was in Vercors area of France two years, my favourite place to cycle ever, and bike rental was non existent. Its in the Alps but away from the best known climbs.

If you just want a bike to potter about then of course you will find something.

Inter railing for a month would be horrible! Enjoy

I did that last summer. Took them off my crashed bike to put on the hire one...
