how long to get from terminal A to terminal C in Newark Airport

    Hey... anybody know how long it takes to get from Terminal A to terminal C in Newark airport.... have to make a connection and the layover time is 54 minutes... was 1 + 1/2 when booked the flight initially, but united changed the time of the connecting flight.:(

    AirTrain takes 2 minutes between terminals so that's 4 minutes from A to C, trains are every 3 minutes at peak times 5am - midnight so you need to factor in getting to/from airtrain from your gates.

    54 minutes is doable provided you have preclearance (if coming direct from Ireland) going to assume it's International to Domestic

    AirTran service is suspended for three months due to maintance. I arrived into Newark terminal C on May 1st, the first day of bus transfers and it was fairly frantic trying to get to penn station but by Friday it ran fairly smooth and they seemed to have ironed out things but still allow a little extra time for using bus transfers rather than air train.
