    Surely no-one knows, or will ever be able to tell us for sure, if death is final?

    That's either your belief or not.

    We can't know anything for sure really, but there are arguments to be made in favour and against the notion.

    ... and nobody will ever find him- or herself disappointed after dying with an expectation of "heaven" or some other form of afterlife.
