    Hi

I'm planning on heading down tomorrow to dublin is it worth taking a position where the caravan stops before hand? What sort of stuff goes on?

    Bump.

I'd like to know this too. In particular, how much should I enthuse the kids.

A report from somebody who was at today's stage would be appreciated.

My wife was up at Bushmills today and got a pink giro rain cape, a paper flag which disintegrated in the rain and a pink armband. She said it was bedlam and the worst offenders were the adults. I would stay a mile away.

Don't think the promo caravan will be giving much if anything out as most of its marketing is based in Italy, any of the stuff seen on tv was Northern Ireland tourist board promotion stuff like the caps and big wavy hand things

It's gives out free crap stuff you don't need and will up in the bin days later.

It's not the same caravan as you get on the continent.
It wasn't possible to bring the usual vehicles over and get everything back in time for the next stage.

The caravan here is just a bit like a local St. Patrick's Day parade. Lots of vehicles and not much else.

You won't miss anything if you don't go to see it.

I can confirm that. The caravan on Friday was just local radio stations driving through in VW beetles and businesses handing out crap. Don't bother.

I know it will be full of sh#te but would there be anything a couple of young kids would like as souvenirs?
