    Hi guys!!!How to update Sky card UK in Clarke Tech box?Is it possible?The card works on Clarke Tech box...Thanks in advance!!!

    PS:I purchased sky card UK in Ireland(ebay)FTV

    My box is Clarke Tech 4100+.(I have seen FTV channels through Clarke Tech box for 40 days...)

    you dont get a lot of extra channels on a sky uk ftv these days, what channels are you after? and it may not be possible in your box to get updates. In other words what channels have gone off?

    The card belongs to sky / NDS. Unless you get it direct from them using a UK address (which is legal) it's stolen.

    It decodes hardly any channels. It's really a marketing gimmick to get people to upgrade to a full sub.

    The card is pretty much only of any use to people with Sky HD boxes and no sub. It will allow you to view the FTA channels on your own equipment.

    This is one of two things I've never understood how Sky get away with it.
    1. Windows/iOS etc, I can turn off updates if I want - no choice with Sky. (I prefer the old EPG but sky force their recommendation on me).
    2. Once your contract is up, they cripple the hardware that you own. Can you imagine the uproar if older versions of Windows (say XP which functions adequately and is still used by many individuals and corporations - including Microsoft themselves) was turned off remotely and then they disabled your machine so it couldn't be used for anything else just because you don't want to go for windows 8.

    You need to put the card back into a sky box for 24 hours so that the card can be reactivated.
