Could you post your full specs , like power supply ,other drives, case etc and how much you're willing to spend.

It'd also be easier to spec out upgrades if we know the kind of games you'd like to play and at what resolution.

Is your machine totally dead or can you run stuff? If you can run speccy to give the lads the exact details of the contents of your PC.

    Item|Price
    ASUS R9270-DC2OC-2GD5 DirectCU II OC, Radeon R9 270, 2GB GDDR5 |€149.64
    Seagate Barracuda 7200 1000GB, SATA 6Gb/s |€45.41
    Crucial M500 120GB SATA 6GB/s 6,4CM (2,5") 7mm |€55.57
    Delock 82476 SATA Kabel 20cm gerade/gerade Metall gelb |€1.05
    AMD FX-6300 Prozessor, Boxed, Sockel AM3+ |€85.91
    Shipping|€18.99
    Total|€356.57

These are all priced from hardwareversand after running them through geizhals.de.

Not sure if this is within your budget or not but it should give you good framerates in those games at 1080p. The ssd is nice to have as a fast boot drive, using the 1tb as a storage drive or to install extra games that don't fit on the SSD.

There's also the option of a hybrid SSD/hdd if you search for "Seagate Desktop SSHD 1TB" on hwvs.

Your board can take an fx-6300 as well which would give you a nice jump in performance but maybe not as dramatic as a new graphics card for gaming. You'll get an extra 2 cores + better piledriver architecture vs the zambezi in your current setup.

And it looks like your system has plenty of ram so that should be grand.

    Thanks a million man.
That is just the info I was looking for.I like the idea of the ssd.I guess if it was a toss up between the fx 6300 and the gpu it would have to be the gpu I guess.

No problem :) and yeah the gpu will probably make the biggest impact in gaming and those cards are hard to beat for price/performance.

The SSD won't actually improve your gaming performance except for loading times so you could maybe drop that and get the fx-6300 if you really want to maximize your performance. Seems to be a lot of ssd sales going on recently so you could always pick one up later down the line.

Are you sure it's the PSU? Others have been complaining about there PCs crashing from watch dogs.

Odd, I've a Super Flower 450W PSU with the same GPU and FX 6300 and watch dogs is running fine on it on high settings.

It did freeze when I first opened it after about five minutes, but it hasn't since and runs perfectly.

Super Flower is a decent brand though, and 450w is more than enough for that setup.

The problem is with cheap generic psu's, which often can't output half of their advertised wattage. Some of those dirt cheap 500w units struggle with anything over 200/250w. Dabs have a '500w Alpine PSU' for 13 euro for example. Wouldn't trust that with anything over about 180w.

It would have been grand with a GT630, but a 270 is much more power hungry.

No need for a 750w PSU, that's overkill. A good quality 450w is fine. This would be fine.

    Thanks man.
Its defo the cheap ass psu as i had one in a HTPC i built a few years ago and added a sat card,it kept doing the same shut down when i looked at a channel.
Swapped that one out for a corsair cx600 and no problem since.
Have ordered another cx600 there,I know its a bit overkill but will be good enough if i add more hardware.
Will post back when i have it installed!!!
    Thanks again all:D:D:D:D:D:D
