    Hi,

Looking for advice as to what could be wrong. It's in a en-suite, the tap and shower in there works fine, plenty of pressure. However the cistern is taking ages to refill - 1 - 1.5 hours.

    Any ideas anybody? Thanks

Sorry cannot embed pics or URLS as I'm a new user. Here are some pics of the cistern (just put a "http://" in front of each link below)

Probably the rubber inside the arm which the ball cock thing is attached to. I ain't a plumber but had same problem recently.

What's wrong with the rubber. Does it perish or break?

Turned off the feed from valve and I'm trying to open either of the white valve screw thing but its not unscrewing

When you flush the rubber pops out to allow cistern refill.as water refills the arm pushers rubber to reclose water supply. Thing is once you unscrew the valve it's very hard to get the seal water tight again!!!! A rubber costs about €1 or so but chances are easier to replace the whole arm unit. New one costs about €10. Again I ain't a plumber, just fixed my one !!!

Thanks farmer I managed to get at that diaphragm seal by removing ballcock first and I was able to get better leverage to unscrew. Tore into local DIY shop, replaced seal and I've a fully working toilet again.

    Thanks for your help.
