Provided specs are a bit thin on the ground other than being 720p while the Gopro is 1080p so really hard to say for sure. I looked into Gopro competition a couple of years ago and a big thing was the image stabilisation that even the expensive competition wasn't matching back then. Even allowing for improvements in tech I seriously doubt this has anything comparable at this price point so probably a lot more limited in where/when it can be used. Low light performance is also almost certainly more limited as well. Wait for someone else to take the plunge and report back to be sure I'd say.

As it's aldi, it's worth a shot and return it in prefect nick for a full refund if it's crap.

Not always as testified by my experience with a camera bought off them. They did not carry out a repair as they claimed it had been dropped but the camera had been almost completely unused and not dropped.

Was going to get one until today when I read this. The 90minute video time is pritty rubbish. Aswell as there being little details in the add there is no mention of shock proof or shock resistance. They encourage it for mountainbike use but I would consider shock resistance a fairly big part of these sort of sports. If you want a good waterproof one you might be better of getting the other one they are selling.

Think I'll save for a goPro myself :)
