How can i find out what property my grandfather owned?

    Hi all, My family are trying to trace some family history. My grandfather bought some property in the 1950's/60's and sold it a short time afterwards. We would like to know where exactly it was and which piece of property it was, just out of interest and curiosity. Is there any way of finding this out from anywhere.

    If you know the location approximately then the Evaluation Office in Lower Abbey Street in Dublin allows access to evaluation archives including maps and individual property details. Good for tracing ownership details over time. see -
