Paris athletics clubs?

    Hi all,

    I'm a cyclist moving to Paris in the summer. I think the city will be too big for good bike training and I want to spend less time training so I can get more involved in Parisien life. So I am considering running during my time there.

    I want to run xc over the winter, do the Paris marathon in April and then track events over the summer season (1500s and steeple).

    Does anyone know anything about clubs and events in Paris? Are there similar club structure, meets, leagues as are in Dublin? Would the clubs accomodate such a wide range of events or are they more specialised i.e. track only?

    I'm thinking of living in the 12th so I'll have bois de vincennes for training. Will be looking for a club close to that area. Not sure where I can find information - I'm not a french speaker (yet) so hoping someone may be able to give me some info.

    Thanks rom, hopefully he can direct me to the french equivalent of Boards.ie and I'll get the answers I'm looking for.
