    Hi

Can anybody please advise me on the situation with VRT in the sceanrio below.
An Irish company has a branch in England, not a seperate company, just a branch of its Irish operation. It wants to import to Ireland a van it has had in the UK since 2009.

VRT should be waived as its a transfer of location of the van, correct ?

How is this procesed, if the forms for VRT waiver are all intended for use by a person, not a company.

    Thanks
    RS

I checked recently importing a company car from UK. I was told by Revenue that the rules around waiver of VRT for ownership prior to import only apply to personal ownership. Companies must pay. VRT on larger vans and trucks are flat rate of 200 quid. 13.5% of OMSP for car derived van.
