Looking to go for lunch on a sat in the city. Not far from grafton st. Thinking a late lunch and somewhere we can stay a couple of hours having drinks afterwards.
Would prefer not to be a pub. Any nice wine bars around? All recommendations welcome. Thanks

Ticks most of the boxes I think... assuming 3pm is ok for for your late lunch.

The Green Hen on Exchequer Street is fab. Had a late lunch and vino there myself a few weeks back!

    Odessa maybe

No. Odessa is garbage food and poor service; it is the kind of place that is wrong with food in Dublin. Living on a self-perpetuating reputation where nobody has a good meal there but because everyone raves about it so much, everyone thinks "maybe it was just a one off bad service"

Dunne & Crescenzi or downstairs in Fallon & Byrne are my go-tos for that sort of an afternoon (drifting into evening and beyond :D).

City centre is so small that I feel some Northside recommendations wouldn't hurt: Taste of Emilia on Lwr Liffey St and (surprisingly good) the new(-ish) Quay 14 in the Morrison.

La Cave on South Anne Street. Wonderful wine list.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

+1 for La Cave, they do a great two course lunch for €14 and they always have 'wine of the month' at a great price. Love love love it.
