I have a booking made up of two passengers worth €70 which I now can't use. Is there any point going through the refund process on this considering the admin fees?

Ryanair tickets are non-refundable I'm afraid and as you said, the government tax (which is refundable) is rarely worth it IMHO due to the admin charges).

Yes, its supposed to be €20 per passenger. The tax on the flight is surely less than that so....

Other option could be to stick them up on Donedeal, a name change costs €110 per flight, might be cheaper for someone than booking a new flight for the same route, unlikely but you never know depending on route.

Government tax has being scrapped since 1 April and any bookings made after Budget 2014 last October will not have the tax added.
