I lost the guts of my landcusier fob when the key plastic broke open. I have a spare which works fine. Toyota say it will cost €150 for a new key fob. Anyone got a cheaper way?

You're talking about a key fob itself or key fob + what's inside? Anyway, eBay has them cheaper than mr. T.
