A young mother in west Meath was fined for littering by a warden after having a run in with a labour candidate at her front door ,she tore up a candidates leaflet and threw it on the ground in her own garden but later cleaned it up and put the leaflet in her bin ,
Litter warden called the next day to talk about the incident and fine her €150 after a call from the labour candidate,

The candidate then said he made the call for the good of the community

If that was true, I doubt that she would be getting fined. I cannot see how the actions described above are a breach of what I'm reading on Citizen's Advice.

I was wondering about a fine if the property was her's but I heard her on TodayFM and she mentioned it was a Council house - think that might be the difference.

To be fair to her, she didn't name the TD at all on air. Delighted he was identified later though and hope he gets f**k all votes. "For the good of the community" - such bullsh*t. Vindictiveness pure and simple.

Anyhoo, he's lucky she shoved the leaflets back at him. I would have shoved them up his ****!
