This would be my first time buying a new car in Ireland. What I want to do is pay monthly and change it up for a new one in a few years time. What I have to trade in is a 2002 1.8 diesel Ford focus that was just NCT'd. Ideally I would like to have the dealer take my car and sign me up to a new one so I wouldn't have to give a deposit. In the U.S. you can ride into a dealer on a bicycle and drive out with a new car. So, how flexible are the dealers here in Ireland? If they wont give me much for my car will they still want a deposit?
    Thanks

All depends on how much you're willing to spend per month, and on the deal, but no, you may not need a deposit.

In Ireland, the customer walks into the dealership, and the dealer rides them out.....;)
