    Just looking for peoples opinions on Homestay. Myself and my wife are considering it but had never heard of it before yesterday. Would love to hear from anyone that has let a room out in their house through this website.

    Never used that one but have used airbnb a number of times (for tourism rather than prostitution btw) in France, Italy, Spain and the USA. I've never had a bad experience with it - it seems to be pretty well regulated and you can expect to get what you pay for/see on the website. It's usually cheaper than a hotel or renting short term through an agency. There seems to be flexibility for owners to have different arrangements with deposits/cleaning/electricity charges if they want but I don't know if that might depend on local laws.
