Things you say you won't do that your future self will look back on and cringe.

When I was 15 I was adamant that I would never drink, smoke or dye my hair. Three years later I was doing all three.

Maybe I haven't learned the lesson that I should never say never but I'm still adamant that in the future I won't do certain things such as:

    Get a boob lift
    Get botox
    Get lip fillers
Basically get any type of surgery
    Turn into my parents
Tell nostalgic stories about how things were better in my day when children had respect for their elders and money went further
    Won't embarrass my kids
Invest in property because renting is dead money
    etc etc

    So AH'ers,
What life choices do you make now that your future self might look back on and consider cringey?

I somehow ended up on my old Bebo page a few months back. There was one of those ****ty quizzes I'd done when I was about 14.

    'Do u smoke?'
'No cos I'm not an idiot'.

    Yes I am an idiot.

    Just came across this:

"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation." ― Oscar Wilde.

Wilde knew that the most important thing of all was to be true to yourself; why would you cringe at things you have done? They are what make you you. A lot of his writing was about people running from themselves, which is to say not that one shouldn't regret anything, but that you shouldn't hate yourself for having regrets.

I won't worry about what I may or may not look back on and cringe in the future, and just enjoy myself in the here and now :)
