Is there any companies in Europe or other that will insure an Irish car in Ireland by an Irish citizen and it will be accepted here as proper car insurance? Have a Jap import and quotes here are beyond a joke. Thanks in advance.

Doubt it. The insurers here know what they want and what they do not and price themselves out deliberately. Foreign insurers who want to write business here go through underwriting agencies, so Im sure youve approached them already
