    Hello,

Iv a problem with my peugeot 407 1.6 hdi.

Personally i thinks its injector one an its seal.. Engine is running rough.. Theres also smoke coming out of engine near injector?
Is that a usual thing with a injector thats gone or would that be a different problem?

    Thanks,
    Johnny

If you can see visible smoke it could be losing enough compression to cause a small miss. depending if the injectors are seized of not looking at about 1hr to 1.5 hrs to remove injectors clean seats and replace washers. If any of the injectors are seized in place the hours can mount up quite quickly.

Look at the four injectors. If there is an engine cover remove it and you'll see the four injector in a line side by side on the top of the engine. Look at the base of each ie where they screw into the engine. If there Is residue around one the the bases then it's most likely an injector seal.

Yea smoke is visible and alot of it...yea the first one is seized and im guessing the second is too but 3 and 4 are perfect. Is the smoke usual? Like would it be the injector causing it?

the fact that the seal is gone causing a drop in compression and poor burning of the diesel would be causing excess smoke.
