    Hi

I have a 2000 A4 that failed the NCT over a CV joint which is clicking when the steering wheel is locked. Been clicking the last 4 years and passed the NCT each time but all of a sudden its a reason to fail now.

Im trying to buy parts but theres a selection of Inner or Outer CV joint.

Which one do i need? Thanks

I didn't know you could fail for the joint being noisy, I thought it was only for the boot leaking. Are you sure they didn't say it was the boot?

I very recently passed an NCT with at least 1 joint clicking (I'm not sure about the near side).

cv joint - excessive wear is what it says. From what i can see the boot comes with the kit so ill have to change it anyway.

Just need to know if its inner or outer.
