A condition of a recent planning application is below, my query is what are specifically asking for with this condition, it mentions static storage and then X amount of litres per bed?

"All static storage will be provided as per BS EN 806. 24 Hours static storage should be provided, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Planning Authority. For dwellings, the following 24 hour storage should apply: 1 bed - 210 litres; 2 bed - 260 litres; 3+ bed - 100 litres per bed. Dual Flush toilets to be used throughout the development. All details to be agreed prior to development commencing."

If you have 3 x double beds you must provide min 600 litres water storage.
If you have 2 double beds and 3 single beds you need to store 700 litres.
    And so on....

( If a room can easily fit a double bed then it is a double bedroom for this calculation purpose)

I'm guessing then that the assumption is that the house will not be connected to the main water supply. If connected to the mains does the above water requirements matter.

Would this amount of water storage be required during the construction phase?

Your Assigned Certifier will answer all no doubt .

By static storage they mean the tank in your attic. It is irrelevant where your water comes from - you need a tank (of at least the size they state) in the attic regardless.
