I am about to book the NCT for my beloved Toyota, and have a quick question, is http://ncts.ie a genuine website? I'm kinda suspicious because it looks like a cheap chinese scam website...

I'm not sure what you're on about.
There can be lots of bad things said about NCT administration and booking process, but their website is actually all good.
It's clear, functional and simple - hardly could be better.

And it does work with Firefox.

Agree with Cinio here, it's a superb website easy to access, and I've never had problems booking via Firefox.

Do you mean you can't get a date within a certain timeframe?

Website is grand if a little lacking in design
Realistically You have to call to get a booking at a time that you want

So if you can't get a booking online within a month, call the website and ask if you can test outside that time for free, or can they give you an appointment.

If they cannot give you a test in a month, then you are entitled to a free test

I thought it was just me when booking a few months ago, does look like a scam site had to check to make sure it was legit.

I'm having trouble booking a test on the site using my phone.
It asks me to enter my cars date of first registration using this format dd/mm/yyyyy but when I do it tells me that I should only enter characters A-Z and 1-9
That's what I'm doing but it's not having it!
    Any suggestions please?

Ring them up and ask for a booking. They'll fit you in in the next 2-3 weeks. Honestly, there booking system is a joke
