Anyone hear about this guy before? There's a program on C4 about him and his practice atm.

Holy ****... he's a friggin' genius. Just showed him restarting a cats heart by putting his finger insider its chest and manually pumping it! None of the other vets had ever seen anything like it before.

He was the first to give a cat a prosthetic leg hence his nickname.

Ireland exports a lot of talent, but it's guys like that who deserve praise.

Watching this now, very impressive. The gf is a vet and met him once. Says the guy is an absolute genius, he apparently has an engineering mind that he effortlessly applies to veterinary.

Yes, I was watching it. That part had me nearly tearing up! He truly is a great mind in the profession, definitely brings a different perspective to the practice. Although I expect the veterinary bills would be astronomical so that would be one of the reasons the majority of times cases like this aren't seen or documented on.

He does a lot of it pro-bono too though.

    I was amazed at that.

    His entire attitude was astounding

Superb facilities too, and he is lauded in the veterinary world for his work

It was incredible how he figured out using a pair of tights on that little Bacus dogs leg would make it work along with hydrotherapy

Watched it and that Scooby got me all teary eyed... lost my lab pre-christmas to bone cancer, knew exactly how the owners felt.

What a great vet. Seems like a great guy too. Luckily my own dog made friends of the oncologist and his wife the vet also. They are now personal friends too.

Animals are amazing and the bond is far deeper than most humans have, how anyone cannot treat an animal with respect and love I have no idea...

That Greyhound made me so angry.....how could someone shoot him and leave him to die?

They did touch upon costs on the program. Definitely not cheap or in any way affordable for probably 80% of people. I sure couldn't afford it, but you wouldn't expect such pioneering treatments and care regimes to be affordable for most people. What he's doing, and the fact that he shares his insights and techniques mean that it becomes affordable for most over time, though.

He was on late late the other night? He's from Kilkenny or somewhere.

It was incredible, his entire operation is amazing.

Apparently he's a complete workaholic and spends five nights a week at the office
