    How does this sound:

    €9.50 a bag,
    €180 a ton (bagged)

    How much are 500kg bags?

Good thread , I just got results for two bits of rough grazing . He said they are very low in P and need over 5 tonne of lime to the acre

Did you get any price on ground lime ?

No, I need to put in an access road before I get ground lime, so that won't be for another couple of years I'd imagine.

Now that you have the quad would it be awful work to spead a bit with the shovel and trailer ?

I remember Reilig was on about new stuff that was twice as concentrated but only available in half tonne bags. Might be worth checking out. Can't remember the name of it now though.

No, it was granulated and twice as concentrated as ordinary gran lime he said for roughly the same price if I remember correctly. He was talking about it not long before he closed his account. If you search the threads you will find it. On phone so no linky!

5T should definately be spread over more than one application, way too much to go with in one go, iirc.

I took the spinner into the coop in march to get a tonne of it as I had spread ground lime last November but I was short enough for ten acres and I just spread two bags of granlime to the acre on them.

anyway 185 a tonne on the docket but didn't bother arguing with them this time. that was for two 2 500kg bags of granlime

Granlime as part of a mixed load of fertlizer in february 148/ton it was expensive enough at that I taught however rest of prices were compeditive,

Yup it will be a slow process if it sarts at all , the old lad is happy with the nitrogen and compaining about slow growth routine for now . We aren't stocked very high so not under pressure for grass really but it would make more sense to spend on lime and not fertilizer while we have the chance

Ground lime is about 17.50 a tonne and ya generally get 25 tonne in the load. Ya would probably get it for less if ya a get few loads.
The max recommended rate is 3 tonne/acre but i do always go with 2 tonne/acre as i think a big dose of lime can leave a soft skin on land
