    Hello,

Spring seems to have jumped out of its mountings in the stut - see picture - its not in at the bottom.

Its an 02 Mondeo. Spring does not seem to be broken.
Any ideas? Would it be possible to compress and reseat spring (in the car) - or get new strut?

It might break if you just reseat it

If you renew that side you should renew the other side as well
If you only do one side it can end up like a stool with one short leg

Are you certain that there isn't a bit broken off the end of it as it is?

Happened to me once with a Fiat Uno. It turned out that the spring had broken and there was a piece missing.

Has to be broken to be out like that.
