Hey guys, after 4 years of cycling my Lapierre hardtail I'm finally buying my first road bike. I'm looking at the Canyon Roadlite AL 6.0 and I know sizing is a bit iffy on their size guide so I'm going to double check here and I'm also looking at recommendations for tyres, mud guards and anything else I might need.

    The size tool recommended an XL frame. I'm 6' 4" and my measurements are Inseam - 93cm, Torso - 62cm, Shoulder - 44cm, Arm - 69cm.

As far as tyres go, people seem to love the Conti GP 4000s, they seem to be very good with puncture resistance but I despite fixing them and commute to Tallaght so glass is everywhere. I currently roll on Schwalbe Marathon Pros so would like something similar but not as heavy if possible.

As far as mudguards go, I'd like something quick release but I don't know if that's an option, so I'm torn between Crud Guards and something like the SKS Blumels.

Use their size calculator. Worked for me. I have the same bike in a 56/l. You probably need the next size up

The Conti GP 4000s are great tyres

Canyon sizer didnt work for me, however I rang the UK office and explained what I currently rode and they put me straight ........ as for tyres whilst the GP4000s are a fantastic tyre, if you are purely communting look at getting the Continetal Gatorskin (much cheaper) - I use these as winter tyres and GP4000s for summer ........... as for mud guards I had the SKS race guards, easy to fit and reasonable price just mind tyre width (ie: go for 23mm) for clearence ......... dont be putting mudguards on til winter !

Enjoy the bike ........... they are a great brand !
