    Hello all,

Can you change your visa from a WHV to a 189 visa while living in Australia?
For example if I arrive in Oz on the WHV can I switch to the 189 after a few months?
    Thanks.

Yes you can apply for most visas onshore providing you meet the criteria.

Although for a 189 you can only apply if invited to do so.

Register EOI--> If your criteria/occupation is required you are then formally invited--> then apply for visa.

You would need to have all your ducks (skills assessment, IELTS etc) in a row first before an invite as you have only 60 days from the invite to lodgement.
