    Hi,

I've spent some time revamping my photography website- http://www.photoblog.ie

It supports fullscreen images and is responsive.

It's not 100% fully finished but any comments, suggestions or feedback would be appreciated so I could take it into consideration before completing it.

Besides general thoughts & feedback here's some specific questions I'd appreciate feedback on are:

1.on the homepage I can add descriptions to the images (e.g. the skateboarder image). Do you like this or does it add 'clutter' to the page and detract?

2.I think a static background image for pages (besides home) is best, otherwise it would be distracting. Agree?

3.I'm trying to decide on a background image for some pages, here are some contenders-a. http://www.photoblog.ie/blog/ maybe too loud b. http://www.photoblog.ie/galleries/ too dull? c. http://www.photoblog.ie/about/

4.Any speficic feedback on the buy prints page would be apprecaited- http://www.photoblog.ie/buy-print/ I get a good amount of hits on that page but no sales.

5.There are different style gallery pages I can have- fullscreen http://www.photoblog.ie/gallery/abstract/ and thumbnail http://www.photoblog.ie/gallery/galway/ Although fullscreen is slightly restrictive (only landscape images fit & does't view best on mobile) is it much more impressive?

6.Any other feedback that you have please.

If you have a site you'd like feedback on in return I'm more than willing.

    Thanks in advance,
    Pa.

Not much change from the original template so there is not much to give from a design perspective that would be useful to anyone but the template developer.

    From what you have added:

    - Your logo has been cropped on the homepage. Look into resizing the logo or the containing div which has a hidden overflow property.

    - Consider keeping the heading style on all pages. You have red headings on the about page when the rest of the site is electric blue.

    - Your logo uses serif typeface, while the site uses a sans serif. Consider revising this as it is tricky to get a mix right and it doesn't work here

    - Some of the images you have used for backgrounds are a bit sharp and take away from the background. Consider revising to use images with a more earthy softer tone.

    Some nice photo's!

    Thanks.

Sorry... I didn't phrase that correctly. I meant go for more subtle backgrounds. I think it was the blue plane one that I found to distract me from the content. I found it quite sharp on my eyes and contrasted heavily with the more subtle backgrounds on the other pages... although this may be subjective. ;)

I really like the website - I think in your business everything needs to be visual and yours definitely looks nice to me!

In terms of the Buy prints page, I would suggest a few things:

    1. Add more content to it - explain more eg, what format can you deliver, what quality paper, even price ranges etc.
    2. Add a call to action which will stand out more - eg Click here to contact me now! - or a direct email addres/phone number..
    3. Are you aware that when they click on "contacting me" the page is broken and gives a 404 error message?
    4. Maybe a testimonial from somebody who already ordered your prints would be helpful..

    Fingers crossed!
