    Hi,
I'm looking for someone who specialises in Victorian Red brick restoration for a large pillar 1860's. We've had some people look at it but they are general brickies or builders and this is a specialist job. Anyone know of someone 'Old School' who know's their stuff. We're looking for someone with experience in restoration who can take the pillar apart, replace some broken bits and sticking it back together.
    Cheers
    P

Might I just enquire as to why a general bricklayer would not be able to reconstruct a Victorian pillar? What features on it make it exceptional? Dog-toothing? corbelling? Panelling?

Just curious,I have done such work in the past, not so far away either and I completed the standard testing for bricklayers in Ireland,so why others cannot do the task is baffling me.

(just to note that I am not in any way forwarding myself for the job at hand,I'm out foreign)
