Would anyone know what exactly the differences are between community schools and Educate Together primary schools? And are community schools entirely non-religious? Thanks for any info!

There are only 7 CNS in the country at the moment.
http://www.cns.ie/ has alot of info about them.
"Goodness me Goodness you" is the name of the multi belief programme that they follow.

We're lucky enough to have one locally. Until today I didn't even know such a thing existed! Considering we're so far down the list of the local Educate Together enrolment list that we're not even guaranteed a place (even though our son is only four months old), the community school seems like an excellent alternative. :)

Every primary school in Ireland must do religion, some schools just don't teach it as doctrine.

And would community schools be included in the ones that don't teach it as doctrine? Or would that just depend on the school?

see my comment above, they follow a multi belief programme so they don't but kids can still make communion etc but I am not sure how it works with school time.

education or morality based education during the school day."

"Preparations for key milestones in individual beliefs are provided for within the school day. Local belief leaders are encouraged to come into the school from time to time and particularly during the child's preparation for key milestones in accordance with his/her belief."
