I have an LCD TV which has Saorview built in [currently watching sv channels via aerial]

How do I check/know if it can receive Freesat too?

Also, we have Sky digital in the house I live in. Can I use the same dish for freesat [if TV can tune, or else I get a new Freesat digibox]

    Thanks!!

You could google the make and model of TV and check to see if it has a freesat/fta tuner.

    The skydish will work fine.

I could never find a spec online. Guess I'll just test it! The dish is already bein used for Sky digital, so can I piggyback onto the same dish?

    Thanks.

If it has a screw on f connector it almost certainly has a built in sat tuner (although perhaps more likely fta rather than a freesat registered device), if it just has the standard bl plug in variety it does not.

If you have the f plug it is simply a case of screwing on and scanning (assuming the satellite is in good working order), if your TV has a freesat option then use it (with a UK postcode) and it will give you the default freesat listing for that area if not then just scan available FTA channels and then order the channels afterwards).

If the satellite was not in good working order the whole of Europe would know about it.
