hi starting a job on Thursday wage is 10.50 per hour and 39 hrs a week, anyone know what my take home pay per would be after tax usc etc.
haven't worked this year and only part time last year would I be entitled to any extra tax credits for this, also using my own car for commuting the 80miles round trip can I claim any expenses of my tax on this .
thank you for any info provided.

God unless your job contract specifies tou get travel allowance/ mileage.

Its just the way it is i have a 140 mile round trip.
    I get nothing
I dont expect it either as it was my choice to accept job and commute.

Phone revenue office ask them what you are best entitled to.

If you just started work now then you wont pay tax for a couple of months, I returned to work in March from maternity leave and am only starting to pay tax again now. If you are single then you are earning €21,294 a year so according to www.taxcalc.ie your normal take home after tax would be €359.11 weekly.

If you have your tax deducted by your employer then you not entitled to claim on your travel expenses unless it's included in your contract (very unlikely).
