That's showing at €679 when I click the link.

Seems like a decent price for a 17'' but I've never used a Dell laptop

My wife's Dell is still going 6/7 years on despite numerous falls. Mind you it's slow as an ox at this stage but she uses the tablet mosty now. I've had a high spec Dell for about 3 years. Can't fault the build quality but the battery sometimes fails to charge. Doen's bother me that much as it's a heavy 17" and I rarely take it out of the house anyway.
But back to the machine in question. I'd upgrade the hd to a 7,200 rpm anyway. I'm not a fan of the combo headphone/mic sockets either (then again I produce music in my spare time so dedicated sockets are a must).

They had a code on the site for 10% off on it.

Not too fussed about the socket. But worried about the battery though.

I had one about ten years ago that was good but things change fast never mind in 10 years. So I have no idea what they are like these days

I'm looking in to the same laptop but the 15R version. My current Dell is around 4 years old and apart from a few cosmetic problems (broken hinge, new keyboard), the battery, with a huge amount of use over the years, is dying and I'm looking to upgrade which is why I'm currently looking into buying Dell again, unless someone can recommend otherwise.

Question though, where did you see the code on the Dell site? Is it through Dell VIP or can you link? I just can't see it.

Was at the top in a red banner. Could be finished now
