    Hi Guys..

Im in my final year at university and will be finishing up my exams very shortly. I plan to move to Dublin right away in pursuit of a job...
In the mean time I would like to claim job seekers allowance..
My friend has offered to let me stay in her house until I get on my feet (job sorted etc..) How can I go about getting proof of address to show the welfare office as I wont have a contract or be paying rent.. Would a letter from my friend do the trick??

    Thanks..:)

A letter and a recent utility bill will suffice. I don't think anything else will do. I have a lease but as I said I only lived with one person I don't want to give a copy of the that. The only reason I didn't mention the other two people is that I didn't want to have to ask them personal information and I didn't want them to know my business either. The person who's details I gave is a good friend and they asked for her salary and PPS number!! Which is ridiculous! Her finances are nothing to do with mine, which they know as the social welfare officer asked me if there was any relationship. I don't have any utility bills so I was thinking of signing up for some sort of insurance to get a bill and then cancelling it. Not sure if anywhere does paper bills any more though. Don't know what to do
