Most cassette stoves have a flat bed grate so are designed as a wood burning stove.
Most companies offer an add on of a cast iron multi fuel kit for inside the stove which protects the interior parts from burning out fast due to the damage caused by coal etc.
My advice would be to buy good kiln dried wood and stick with that so you don't need the kit.
With the recent rise in coal prices it's equally as good value and gives off great heat. Its also cleaner and better for your stove,chimney/flue and the environment :)

Completely agree with what Sanchez said. The multifuel grate is an optional extra on this stove and only you can decide if it's worth getting. If you only plan to use wood/turf then you don't really need it. (Altho turf gives a lot of ash!). If you think that in anyway you will be burning coal or anthracite then you must get the multifuel grate. (€50 extra).

Other than that it is a smashing looking stove, but because it is a completely glass front it has the potential to break in the case of collision.

I never advise the use of heat calculators online, never accurate.
    What size is the room?

Heres the link for the stove, it has the Cert and Installation guide. http://heatdesign.ie/vitae-6#.U20AEI3UCH8
