I noticed more and more people are posing on Facebook 'giving the thumbs up'. When did such a lame pose become cool?

Why is giving the thumbs up "lame"? What a harmless gesture to make. I think you're being judgemental.

It's always been cool, you just weren't cool enough to use it.

Not half as bad the 'peace' sign some people do on photographs!

I'd love if I could get to the stage in life where being annoyed at people posing for photos while giving the thumbs-up was the last thing dragging my mood down.

Better than dumbass gang signs from people who work desk jobs.

It's seriously annoying too as the thumb casts a shadow in the person's face far too often as well, thus ruining a salable image.

I've a cousin who's pointing in every photo I see of him (many, many, photos). He's pointing at someone else, at a road sign, at his own head, at anything really. It's like a photo lacks any context unless he's pointing at something.

I hate being in photos with him, because he points at me and I feel I'm being blamed for something. For being in a bad photo maybe.
