I have started using Comodo's Mail Filtering gateway and have changed the MX domain dns record to the one Comodo have given me.

I sent an email from another mail server to an email account on this domain, and this is what I get bounced:

Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:

    [Name]
A problem occurred and this message couldn't be delivered. Check to be sure the e-mail address is correct. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.

    Diagnostic information for administrators:

    Generating server: DC.[internaldomain].local

    #< #5.4.4 smtp;554 5.4.4 SMTPSEND.DNS.NonExistentDomain; nonexistent domain> #SMTP#

Initially I'm thinking that this is some internal dns issue or somethin blocking Comodo's IP.

The email works when I switch back the MX record to the IP of the mail server.

The reason for doing this in the first place is that Exchange is crap at filtering spam. At the moment I've put a filter on all emails with certain words, eg viagra that is skimming down one the level of spam but I need something permanent.

Any ideas how to get this working?

    Thanks

    Never mind, fixed it.

Basically in the Exchange Admin Centre I went to Mail Flow > Receive Connectors > Add > Select Hub Transport and Partner Server > Next > Next for Network Adapter Settings > When you get to the next step (Remote network settings), remove "0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255" and add Comodo's IP Addresses, they resolve to 178.33.199.65 and 178.33.199.66 > Save.

It's actually free for one domain and 5 users. There is no email address limit, but a user login limit. Spam has stopped now so lets hope it stays working.
