    Let the Fire Burn

An all archival footage telling of a tragic incident of a standoff between radical group MOVE and police gone terribly wrong in Philadelphia in the mid 1980's.

I was quite moved towards the end of the film. Cleverly edited between the live footage of the event and the subsequent film record of a civil investigation into the despicable events of the deadly day that ended in children, women and men being deliberately burned to death in their home after a long shootout with a vengeful police force. Neither groups come out in a good light, but overall the sadness in way the loss of life occurred takes center stage.

The similarities to authorities attitudes here and in the Waco siege are chilling. Expertly told documentary with no opinions just news footage, interviews by journalists on the day and the sheer horror of the civil investigative depositions and testimony. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Brilliant doc that's on Netflix US. It has one of the craziest parts in any documentary I have ever seen
when they drop a bloody bomb from a helicopter onto the roof of the MOVE house which leads to a massive fire
. I watched this after the even better doc about Waco 'Rules of Engagement' which is on YouTube. Both are about the complete disregard the authorities have for these people simply because they are viewed as cults.

Been meaning to watch this. Looks very interesting. Also does the policeman at 0:39 remind anyone else of Russell Crowe?

I watched this last night, truly shocking.

The only police officer I felt was being sincere was the officer who ran out to pick up the child when it fell.

Shameless that there were no criminal charges filed against police or officials.
