Looking for my first road bike.

I'm 6'3 and want the bike for commuting and maybe doing a bit of cycling at the weekends.

I have an 8 speed claud butler criterium with 8 speed 2300 shifters, tiagra front and sora rear derailleurs (replaced all the stock components, bar the front wheel). The chain, cassette and breaks are brand new on it.

It's a 58cm frame, I'm 6"2 and it fits nicely, nothing fancy but I've won league races on it and ridden spins over 160km on it no bother.

Also comes with a pair of panracer rimbos fitted, they're well used but haven't started to puncture yet. I'll upload pictures tonight.

I'd let it go for 270. Based in Dublin.

    KeeeeRist, that's a big bike!!

I'll let the OP get back on this as it's his wanted ad, but if he doesn't want, I'm looking for something similar for that budget. A cheap road bike for a big fella. I'll have a couple of questions - is it definitely 64 and where is the bike for sale.

As I said, won't step on OP's toes until...

    hi lads.

right - got to a computer.

    i bought it here off this lad;

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=82946318

    size 64.

    located in Glenageary, Co. Dublin.

she needed a bit of work so repairs and what have you:

    changed wheels/tyres/tubes chain and cassette
    changed gear cables
    changed one of the brakes
    changed the rear deraileur
    changed the bar tape

since then it was used for going to work 2 km away and maybe 5 or 6 spins amounting to 300 km at most. the rear got a puncture and sat there until i fixed.

i used it to go to work (5 foot 10! - hence the saddle slamming) once or twice since - was working fine.

as a bonus, you get to keep the modified front and rear 4.99 aldi lights :)

yeah - fair play - op get first option!

    I have a Be One Briza with a brand new 105 ( full ) 105 10 speed groupset, and a carbon Fork ( Alan ).
Has a fairly mediocre set of CXP wheels ( Brand new Schwalbe Lugano tyres ).
Size is 58cm ( perfect for your height)

But I'd need 400 for it.

Hey Conchy, have a jupiter utah bike there 16 speed and a large frame, suits a 6ft 3er like yourself as i am 6ft 2!
Its in handy nick, only put brand new bar tape on it, and also some new gear cables. Would be perfect as a starter bike.
Would happily let it go for 280 but we can agree on a price if your interested!
