Im not sure im in the right forum here but anyway...

How do I go about reporting a TV licence dodger?

And before I get a slating this tv dodger is a horrid person. Its my landlady who enjoys ripping off language students in substandard digs, so she has it coming to her. Makes folk pay for heading and then doesn’t have it turned on. Says house is non-owner occupied and shes there the whole time. Mattresses thread bare. Horrid, horrid racist person .

Normally I wouldn’t care if a person pays their tv licence or not (but yes i know i should). Im a postgrad student living off my hard earned savings and this lady has just been taking the p**s. I didn’t have time or energy to move out before anyone starts says 'why dont u just move' . I just sleep there, don’t spend much time there, but when I see these poor language students coming it really annoys me.

Ill be moving out in 2 weeks, so im hoping to get tv inspecter while im still there so i can open the door for him. she never opens door, sleeps on a matress in room full of crap.

Yes, she could be depressed, but thats no excuse to be a ripoff, i dont think shes depressed though. even if she is, it might make her start to self reflect.

Having a tv licence is the responsibility of the occupier of the property, not the owner, so you might be shooting yourself in the foot.

Report her to the PRTB if you feel she treats tenants unfairly.

she lives there also. and there was no mention of tv licence to tenents. perhaps i should wait till i leave! but shede never answer the door. ill be reporting her to revenue for undeclared income anyway. and getting her taken off the university accommodation list

she's just one amongst thousands that don't pay for a redundant srrvice.

call them by all means but don't expect agents jumping through the window anytime soon :)

The inspector takes the name of the person who answers the door. So if you answer the door you'll be the one having to deal with the licence, they don't care once they have a name.

For the sake of a year, when the license goes, is there any point in reporting her?
