Looking for some advise on the best plumbing system for a new build. 4 bedroom house, 5 bathrooms inc downstairs, 5 showers and 4 occupants. The house will have a Heat Pump that comes with a 180lt cylinder. My understanding is that the cold water suggested is an EPS Multi-boost 250lt tank. It would be great to get feedback on whats good/bad/better solution. Thanks

I prefer seperate booster pump and cold water storage.

I've been istalling walruses 400 pump @ €280 and two at70 water tanks @€;160. Roughly @ €480 altogether including pipe fittings and valves.

How does that stack up to your multitank price wise?

I think it's around the €500 marker but its all part of the plumbing as a whole. This would'nt be an area I know much about thus the question as I seem to be learning after its too late on some jobs. Is a walruses 400 a pump or a tank or a tank with a pump ? Why 2 x 70lt tanks ?

My basic understanding is that i will have a 180lt hot tank and a 250lt cold water system. Wondered if its enough for showers and baths as I hear of 300 and 500 alot with solar panels.

the walrus tq400 is a booster pump. the reason for two 70 gallon tanks is extra storage, one would probably suffice depending on the incoming mains lts/min supply. ive seen the multitanks, using a submersible pump theres nothing wrong with them at all, nice and compact, easy to fit.

a basic hot water demand can be calculated @50 ltrs / person / day based on seai data, but in reality its more like 40 ltrs / person.

Could the EPS be used to boost both hot and cold water supply? I am starting to look at hot and cold water of a new build house . The idea (in my head) is to have a break tank, submersible pump, feeding the cold water and also into a pressurised DHW tank. The current flow is ~10L minute, with poor pressure, hence the break tank. Also keen on a secondary circulation pump to reduce the time waiting for hot water (current house its almost 2 minutes of pumped 'cooled' hot water down the drain every morning before the shower is hot) would this be compatible with the system above?

I want to get the rough outline in my head first

    Thanks
