It's being held for the benefit of Kildare Down Syndrome.

    Run 3.3km / Bike 20km / Run 2.4km

Bike is draft legal so no TT bikes allowed.

even with no TT bikes, i'm not sure i would be comfortable with the draft legal rule. could be carnage

Isn't this event on the dark side ?

Is this the first running of this race?

Draft legal with six laps of a short course could be interesting when a faster group is overtaking a slower one. OK if all cyclists are experienced in bunch racing (as several triathletes would not be).

Its how the pros do it so why not give it a chance - but be careful out there!

Its a pro's job. I break limbs and my income is impacted (okay its not but it would make my job hell).

Plus I would look at the organisers and then ask yourself some serious questions.

I thought all Irish races were draft legal? :P

I'm signed up for this and suddenly very nervous. Never been involved in a 'draft legal' race.

Should I break out the elbow & knee pads?
