    Hi there.
    I've recently just bought a new laptop that has Windows 8.1.
    The webcam and headset I've been using for years no longer works.
    Could anyone recommend a webcam and headset that is compatible ?
    Ideally I want to purchase them in Argos but PC World or Currys will be fine.

    Could you post the make / model of the laptop? Most new machines come with an 'embedded' cam / mic (should see it at the top centre of the screen). So you mightn't even need to purchase more hardware.

    Also, did you check the manufacturers web site to see if they provide drivers for windows 8?

    Any latest webcams will state Win 7/8 compatible on the box so it's just a case of choosing between video quality.
