    Help please!
We went paddling today. Got in at five mile bridge , long range and channel to Glenaa then under the Brikeen and back to Dinish where we’d left a car .We ‘d misjudged the road closure times ( Car ally ) so we couldn’t get back to Five mile. We just had time to take the gear and drive back into town at about 4.00. Two kayaks were left beside the path and our Canadian canoe was left in the heather well up on the shore. When we got back just after the road re opened around 7.30 the kayaks were as we left them but no sign of the canoe. We walked the shore but no sign.
Stolen? The boat is worth money. Very short time frame, difficult to carry, why not steal kayaks as well?
Pushed into the lake - ? on shore wind , possible but unlikely .
Sunk by yobs ? Maybe, but why and when? I presume the rally guys are mainly interested in the rally.
Please any advice, information, suggestions.? I’m heartbroken! Thank s Joe B.

contact the Park Wardens as someone may have reported it to them. Could also try contacting the rowing clubs they may know something.

Also give Killarney Garda station a bell - they often end up being called in unusual circumstances - they might also have an idea of who to talk to in terms of fishermen other lake users around there who might have seen something.

thanks -we spoke to the Guards that night who were very positive and responsive especially considering that going on night shift in killarney on Rally weekend was like going to a war zone. The Guard immediately called a boatman mate and gave us his personal email so we could send in a picture. No result but we do appreciate the response.

Thanks - spoke to the ranger who came back to me after making inquiries. local lake users , face book friends and others have been very positive. there s a suggestion it might have been taken , hidden in undergrowth and moved later.we did search but...
    thanks again ..

    Hi Ustaz

Did u have any joy getting your boat back ?

If not then I would suggest you add more info about the boat... A picture with any details of identifying marks that may help folk here in case it is offered for sale,

end of the boating season so it might pop up, you never know it could have been sold to a buyer that didn't know it was stolen so might pop up for sale on the open market,

Hope things work out for you dude.
