I want to insulate some of my rooms in a cement block wall house. The area is VERY humid and HOT!! Trying to insulate against heat- what should I also use for windows and doors. I would like the most efficient material and then also something that is cost efficient just in case I can't afford what you recommend. Please send average cost per square meter and application that is easiest to install. I am not a good handy man! I will probably get a carpenter that has never seen insulation material before to install. Pls note- I already have a humidifier I can use. Thanks!!

Are you living in Ireland? Where is all this heat coming from that you are trying to keep out???

You'd be better off asking the Floridians in a USA based building forum tbh.

Jeez, I dunno - a lot of their stuff is brutal, and relies on cheap a/c rather than quality construction to keep indoor temps under control.........

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

1/2 ft of rammed earth outside of the concrete. That'll do the job (this assumes your eaves have a good overhang or can be extended to suit & similarly foundations can handle this)
